Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms cover use of kpsphere.com and any KPsphere subscription. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If something is unclear, ask at info@kpsphere.com.

1. Who we are

KPsphere is operated by KPsphere LLC, a veteran-owned company registered in the United States. "We" and "us" mean KPsphere LLC; "you" means the person or organisation using the site or holding a subscription.

2. What we publish

KPsphere produces research on emerging technology, drawn from published academic papers, patent filings and funded grant records. Free material — daily briefings, research reports and videos — remains publicly available on this site.

Our work is AI-assisted, and we say so openly. Research is gathered from primary sources and drafted with the help of large language models, then published under our name. Narration in videos is synthesised. The sources we cite are real and verifiable, and we link them so you can check. But AI-assisted writing can contain errors, and you should verify anything before relying on it.

3. Subscriptions

What a paid subscription includes

Each plan is described on the subscribe page and at checkout. Sector Watch and above include four subscriber-only deep-research reports per month per monitored sector, each delivered with an evidence workbook of its underlying sources, plus a monthly sector landscape. Higher tiers add research requests and named entity tracking as stated on the plan.

We aim to exceed those numbers in an active month, but four per sector is the commitment. If we fall short in a given month, write to us and we will make it right — either by delivering the missing reports or by crediting that month.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance, in US dollars, through Stripe.
  • Prices may change, but never for an existing subscriber without notice before the change takes effect.
  • If a payment fails we will tell you, and Stripe will retry over roughly two weeks. Delivery pauses during that time and resumes when payment succeeds.

Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel at any time, from any Stripe receipt email or by writing to us.
  • Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • We do not automatically refund part-months, because the reports for that period have generally already been produced and delivered.
  • If something has genuinely gone wrong — you were charged in error, or did not receive what you paid for — email us. We would rather refund you than argue about it.

4. Subscriber-only material

Reports delivered to paid subscribers are not published publicly. They are licensed to you for your own use and for use inside your organisation.

Please do not republish them publicly, resell them, or redistribute them as your own work. Sharing a report with a colleague who needs it is fine and expected; posting it publicly or building a competing service from it is not.

5. What this is not

Our research is information, not advice. Nothing we publish is investment advice, procurement advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, fund or acquire anything. We are not a registered investment adviser. Technology assessments reflect our reading of public sources at a point in time and may be wrong, incomplete, or overtaken by events.

Decisions with money, contracts or safety attached to them are yours, and you should verify our sources and take your own professional advice before acting.

6. Accuracy and corrections

We try to be accurate and we cite sources so our work can be checked. We do not guarantee that everything is error-free. If you find a mistake, tell us — we correct things and we have done so before.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site and delivery running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled reports may occasionally be late due to technical failures or source availability. Persistent failure to deliver is covered by section 3.

8. Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the site or its systems.
  • Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others.
  • Do not use our material to train competing models or products without written permission.
  • Do not misrepresent our research as your own.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site or a subscription is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost opportunity, arising from use of our research.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Ending an account

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and will refund any unused prepaid period if we do so for any reason other than a serious breach.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes affecting paid subscribers will be notified by email before taking effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which KPsphere LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
